Digital Flight Data Systems
DFDS provides a comprehensive digital Flight Data monitoring/recording system for fixed and rotary wing aircraft:
- Records 80-170 key flight and engine parameters
- Data is permanently saved to flash disk
- Always on, so there's a record of every flight
- Subject to insurance approval, aircraft may qualify for reduced insurance rates
DFDS is an all-Digital Flight Data System for GA aircraft (click to see parameters). The system is designed to:
- Collect critical performance data from the aircraft
- Meet the environmental requirements of DO-160F
- Record engine and flight data at rates consistent with FAA requirements
- Generate Flight Visualization track files for playback of every flight using GoogleEarth Pro
- Work closely with the GA-FDM analysis suite and services
The
system also provides Ethernet access to all data, without removing
anything from the aircraft. WiFi or Broadband (approved for
installation under STC) provides high-speed internet access to and from
the DFDS unit.
On
the ground, the system contains Ethernet and a built-in web server, so
you can use a laptop or PC to browse through recent flights and examine
engine data. Data can be:
- Displayed graphically using any standard web browser with Flash
- Downloaded in text format for incorporation into your own documents or logs
- Retrieved using a USB Flash memory device (aka thumb drive) for archiving
- Graphs can be printed, for inclusion in maintenance or pilot logs
- Data can be automatically uploaded dto GA-FDM database, for analysis, playback, simulation, graphs, and more
